Experience:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service which includes:
preparing monthly and final contract estimates, monitoring budget expenditures, editing correspondence, file maintenance and timekeeping. OR Education:
Completed at least 1/2 year (if determination from your school cannot be made this is typically identified as 9 semester hours) or more of graduate level education at an accredited college or university in engineering, engineering technology, or construction management, or related field of study. OR Combination of Education and
Experience:
A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your graduate semester hours of by 9. Add the two percentages. GS-07 Specialized
Experience:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service which includes experience assisting with contract and change order negotiations, using database and data entry software AND/OR contract administration. OR Education:
Completed one full year (18 semester hours) of graduate education in engineering, engineering technology, or construction management, or related field of study. OR Combination of Education and
Experience:
A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education by 18. Add the two percentages. GS-08 Specialized
Experience:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes knowledge and/or experience in the acquisition and management of contracts AND/OR processing of specifications into design submittals and advertisement solicitation packages by an automated system. OR Education:
Completed one and a half years (27 semester hours) of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in engineering, engineering technology, or construction management, or related field of study. OR Combination of Education and
Experience:
A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education by 27. Add the two percentages. Experience:
One year of specialized experience directly related to this occupation equivalent to the GS-08. This Experience includes assisting in performing a variety of contract administration duties to include assisting in preparing change requests or assisting in preparing construction cost estimates. OR Education:
Two full years of graduate education or a master's degree directly related to Engineering sciences or Construction management. OR Combination of Education and
Experience:
A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. GS-10 Qualification:

Experience:
One year of specialized experience directly related to this occupation equivalent to the GS-09 level in the Federal Service. This Experience includes performing a variety of contract administration duties to include in preparing change requests or in preparing construction cost estimates. OR Education:
Two and a half years of graduate education directly related to Engineering sciences or Construction management. OR Combination of Education and
Experience:
A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Specialized
Experience:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-10 grade level in the Federal service which includes experience performing a variety of contract administration duties to include preparing change requests, preparing construction cost estimates; experience performing field engineering duties to include performing Quality Assurance (QA) field representative duties, providing advice to field personnel on scheduling requirements; and reviewing contractors' proposals. OR Education:
Three full years of graduate education or a Ph.D. degree directly related to Engineering sciences or Construction management. OR Combination of Education and
Experience:
A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
Time in Grade Requirement:
GS-09 - Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-08). GS-10 - Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09). GS-11 - Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-10).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
