Summary:
We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Dental Assistant to join our dental team.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care, excellent technical skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality dental services in a fast-paced practice.
As a Registered Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting dentists during procedures, educating patients on oral hygiene, multitasking, and ensuring a comfortable and positive dental experience.
Duties:
Assist dentists during dental procedures by providing chairside support, passing instruments, and maintaining a sterile environment.
Prepare treatment rooms for patient appointments, ensuring all equipment and supplies are readily available.
Take CT scans and dental X-rays, intraoral photographs, and impressions as needed for diagnosis and treatment planning.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and dietary habits.
Perform dental charting and document patient information accurately in electronic health records.
Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and equipment following infection control protocols.
Schedule patient appointments, answer phone calls, and manage patient records with confidentiality and professionalism.
Assist with administrative tasks such as billing, insurance claims, and maintaining inventory of dental supplies.
Provide exceptional customer service and compassionate care to all patients, addressing their concerns and ensuring their comfort.
Experience and Skills:
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is required.
Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification in the state of California is required.
Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and infection control protocols.
Knowledge of all restorative and surgical dental procedures and techniques, including the ability to fabricate temporary crowns.
Proficiency in taking dental X-rays and intraoral photographs.
Basic understanding of CAD/CAM technology for digital impressions (CAD) Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively educate and communicate with patients.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
Ability to Multitask and be a fast learner.
CPR certification.
Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed.
Knowledge of Dentrix software preferred.
