Job Description:

Under the direct supervision of the site Physician, provides health care services to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Produces images of heart muscle and functioning by setting-up ultrasound equipment; attaching electrodes to chest and equipment; operating and adjusting equipment; recording cardiac and vascular data and measurements; protecting and helping patients.

Education:

  • Completion of Cardiac Sonography Program Required

Certifications/Licensures:

  • BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association Required
  • RDCS Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography -or-
  • RCS Adult Registered Cardiac Sonographer - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Required -and-
  • RVT Registered Vascular Technologist - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Required

Skills:

  • Must be able to type 60 WPM with minimum errors
  • Proficient in adult Transthoracic, Echo, doppler analysis, Stress echocardiography, EKG and Holter monitor hook-up, treadmills, arrhythmia recognition, vascular studies
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • Familiar with Cardiology PAC's and interpretation software
  • Good organizational, grammatical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work with a variety of ultrasound equipment

Pay Range:

$64.50 - $87.08

Hourly

Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.
Note:
Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word exempt on it.

Scheduled Weekly Hours:

40Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
