Duties include but are not limited to cash receipts, accounts payable, reconciliations, account analysis, general accounting, contribution statements and audit support.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS Familiarity of GAAP and non-profit accounting Strong personal computer and business software skills.
MS Office proficient, intermediate level Excel required Strong data entry skills with a keen eye to detail and accuracy Strong problem solving skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills when relating with leadership, staff, congregants and vendors Pleasant personality and proven ability to interact in a positive manner using a high degree of tact, diplomacy, discretion, flexibility and courtesy in gesture and speech Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work Able to work independently and collaboratively Able to follow verbal and written instructions Excellence in oral and written communications to express your thoughts clearly and concisely Be self-motivated and goal oriented, use good judgment, and be flexible and innovative.
Display a professional attitude and demeanor DESCRIPTION Adhere to finance policies, systems, procedures, and internal controls Counting weekly offerings, scan and record cash receipts for all campuses Process AP bills for timely payment.
Code, scan, enter transactions in accounting software, print checks, obtain signatures and mail Print monthly financial reports to pdfs and email to ministry leaders Ensure integrity of financial data when posting transactions and reports within the Sage Intacct accounting software When time permits, assist in all areas of accounting, including bank reconciliations, journal entries, and database management, as directed Handle special projects and assist with annual audit as requested EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience business administration, accounting, finance, or related field preferred Three or more years of accounting experience preferred SALARY RANGE/HOURLY RATE $22 to $25 per hour (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law) To apply for this job, please click here https:
